Congratulations to the Level 8 team who placed third at the State Meet in Madison during the weekend of April 2-3.  We are proud of our 2 State Champions -   Lindsay Smith with a 9.55 on Bars in the 12 and Under category and Taylor Rathke winning Bars - 9.625, Beam - 9.35, Vault  - 9.55 and all around with 37.825 in the Age 14 category.  All seven girls who competed qualified for Regionals!  Several girls had their highest all arounds of the season!  All around scores were Jenny Sell 36.075, Hannah Blachly 36.025, Lindsay Smith 37.2,  Kelsey Smith 35.625, Laurie West 35.350 and Jackie Lauer 36.125.

Arnold Classic...

The Level 8s had fun at the Arnold Classic in Columbus on Friday, March 4. The team came in second place by the slimmest of margins! High scores were Lindsay Smith 9.05 on floor, 9.3 on bars and 35.25 all around. Hannah Blachly had a 9.35 on floor, 9.175 on beam and 35.375 all around. Kelsey Smith scored a 9.025 on bars and beam and had a 35.825 all around. Laurie West scored a 9.05 on floor and a 9.025 on bars with an all around score of 34.85. Jenny Sell had a 9.275 on beam, a 9.15 on floor and an all around of 35.675. Jackie Lauer had a 9.1 on vault and a first place for the session on floor with a 9.375 which qualified her for the finals. Her all around was 35.025. Taylor Rathke had a 9.4 on bars and a 9.4 on beam which scored first place in the session qualifying her for the finals. Taylors all around was 37.1. Jackie was fourth on floor, and Taylor was 3rd on bars and 5th on beam in the finals on Sunday. Congratulations girls!!

Next, we are on to the State Meet in April!!


The Level 8s had a great IGI meet in the Windy City on February 13th. In the 12 and under group, Jenny Sell took second on beam and floor and 4th all around. Lindsay Smith was 1st on bars and 6th all around. In the 13 year olds, Kelsey Smith took 2nd on bars and Laurie West was 3rd on beam. In the 14 and over group, Taylor Rathke took first on vault and bars and first in the all around. Jackie Lauer was 1st on floor.
