Level 6 Girls Win State, Spring 2004

LEVEL 6'S DOMINATE AT FALL STATE

The Level 6 DeVeau's Girls Gymnastics team topped off an undefeated fall season by capturing the team title at the State Meet held in Bloomington in December. The 7-9 year olds won their age division, as did the 10-11 year olds. In addition to the team winning the overall top honors, there were many individual state champions. Jasmine Sweet, age 9, won the All-Around for the 7-9 year olds. Her teammates, however, won three of the four individual events. Jorden Mitchell, age 8, won Uneven Bars. Colleen Treesh, age 8, won the Balance Beam. And Lindsey Dilk, age 9, took first place on Floor. Rachel Ehrman was the champion on Floor and All-Around for the 10 yr. old age group. Emily Curnow earned top honors on Floor and All-Around for the 11 yr. old age division. After a successful fall season, the coaches and girls are looking to repeat their title in the spring. Congratulations to our Level 6 Team! This talented group of girls has won the Team Award in all three of their meets this fall. The girls competed in New Castles Weekend in Paradise, Andersons Pumpkin Patch Classic, and Kokomos All-Star Classic. In the first meet the 7-9 year old girls took first place in every event! At the Anderson meet girls from DeVeaus were the all-around champions in the 7-9 age division, as well as the 10-11 year old division. As of November 16, all fourteen members of the Level 6 Team are qualified for Fall State. Good Luck Girls!
